Cancer and Physical Activity

Move More

We know that when you’re living with and beyond cancer even a small amount of gentle exercise can help reduce your fatigue and leave you feeling better. That’s why Macmillan Cancer Support has developed a range of activities in your area.

Macmillan in Lanarkshire currently have a wide variety of sessions up and running at partner organisation North Lanarkshire Council venues.

Easy Movers (based on Chi Gung)

*please note – due to Covid-19, all in-person Easy Mover Classes are suspended but is being reviewed.*

Our Gentle Movement classes are extending to include people with all long term conditions. The new classes will be called Easy Movers. Easy Movers is based on Chi Gung, an ancient Chinese practice aligning breathing, physical activity, mental and spiritual awareness. The classes are available to those affected by cancer and also any other long term condition.
