Wishawhill Community Centre was built in 1992. Activities which take place in the centre include senior citizen events, carpet bowling, dance classes, writing classes, bingo evenings, credit union, youth clubs and social functions. Any type of well organised social event or community based activity would be made welcome by Wishawhill Community Centre and staff.
Facilities
Wishawhill Community Centre has one main hall available for let with a small capacity intake of 40 persons for a dinner dance and 60 for a disco event. This hall is adaptable and can be used for most types of hires.
In addition to the main hall there is a small committee room available that can be used for small meetings or gatherings and activities.
Kitchen facilities are suitable for re-heating food only and may be used for the purpose of hot buffets or heating through ready prepared food. There is a small domestic fridge available if required.
Transport
Wishawhill Community Centre is accessible by public transport and a bus stop can be found approximately 100 yards from the centre. There are limited designated parking facilities at the centre.
Disabled access
This facility is well suited to persons requiring wheelchair access. There are disabled access points to the building, and all facilities are on the ground level. There are also specially adapted toilet facilities in the centre.
