One of the most recent additions to the community centres section is the Cumbernauld New Town Hall, which is situated in Cumbernauld town centre.

This new multi-purpose venue was built in 1996 and offers unparalleled facilities for both business and community use.

Largely used for social functions the New Town Hall also caters for local community based activities including martial arts classes, art classes and keep fit activities.

Facilities
Comprising two large, tastefully decorated suites, the venue has the flexibility to cater for a wide range of events, from social functions such as weddings, and dinners to performances, conferences and meetings.

The New Town Hall is entered through an impressive two storey glazed entrance hall with the first floor balcony overlooking the ground floor foyer. Each of the foyers has lounge seating and comfortable surroundings where guests can sit back and relax in a quieter area.

Craigieburn Suite
This suite is smaller than the Beechwood suite and has a capacity intake of 90 persons for a dinner dance event or disco. This suite is situated on the ground floor of the New Town Hall.

Beechwood Suite
Situated on the first floor, the Beechwood Suite can retain a maximum of 150 persons for a dinner dance or disco event. The Beechwood Suite has a portable stage that can be set to the rear of the hall for use by musical accompaniment to an evening.

There are dressing rooms, which can be requested, with each of the halls. These can be used for the purpose of a bride room on the day of your wedding, for changing or for changing rooms for sporting activities.

Kitchen facilities are available for both suites and are each of commercial catering standards. This makes the New Town Hall an ideal place for inviting external caterers or for simply indulging guests with a hot buffet for your occasion. There are also large fridges available in each of the kitchens and one in the servery if required.

There are also designated bar areas set within each of the halls. Patrons are reminded that if alcohol is brought onto the premises an additional license fee will be applied.

Cumbernauld New Town Hall is accessible by public transport and a bus stop can be found close to the centre. Disabled access
Cumbernauld New Town Hall has been specially adapted for persons with disabilities.
