Springfield Community Centre was built in 1989. Used for a variety of community-based activities such as band practice, carpet bowling, craft classes, lunch clubs, keep fit classes, dance classes, bingo evenings and social evenings, Springfield Community Centre is treated as a hub of the community.
Facilities
Springfield Community Centre is a modern venue suitable for all types of events. Multiple facilities are available to the general public, which are one main hall, one lesser hall and three committee rooms.
The main hall is situated in the heart of the centre and offers the largest space to hold a social evening or class. The recommended capacity, which is not to be exceeded, for a dinner dance or disco event is 120 persons. With its hardwearing surfaces this hall is also suitable for sporting events.
The lesser hall is more suited to smaller gatherings or medium sized classes and can cater for up to 40 people at a table and chair setting.
Each of the committee rooms in Springfield Community Centre can cater for up to 15 persons at any one time.
Transport
Springfield Community Centre is accessible by public transport. For patrons travelling to the centre by car there are 15 car parking spaces available.
Disabled access
This facility is well suited to persons requiring wheel chair access. There are disabled access points to the building, and all facilities are on ground level. There are also disabled toilets available, as well as 3 disabled parking spaces.
