RSNO Plays Dvořák

RSNO Plays Dvořák

UPDATE: Due to illness, Stephanie Childress has had to withdraw from her performance at Airdrie Town Hall. The RSNO are extremely grateful to Assistant Conductor, Derrick Morgan, for stepping in at short notice. The programme remains unchanged.

PLEASE NOTE: PERFORMANCE WILL NOW START AT 11AM WITH DOORS OPENING AT 10.30AM

No-one wrote a tune like Dvořák, and his Serenade for Strings is just packed with them. Caroline Shaw, meanwhile, is alive, well, and living in America – and her beautiful Entr’acte is the ultimate in 21st century musical chillout. Put them together with conductor Stephanie Childress and the vibrant sound of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra’s string section – performing live and unplugged here in Airdrie Town Hall – and the result is an occasion for everyone to enjoy.

Repertoire includes:
Caroline Shaw – Entr’acte
Dvořák – Serenade for Strings

Conductor:
Stephanie Childress

Presenter:
Gillian Moore
