World Book Night gives adults the chance to celebrate their love of reading just like children do on World Book Day. Book lovers can take this as an opportunity to spread a love of reading and inspire others to read more by sharing books they’ve enjoyed, talking about favourite authors, and in many other ways.
Libraries can be at the heart of that celebration and this year is no different.

#ReadingHour
Another tradition of World Book Night recently has been #ReadingHour. This year #ReadingHour is between 7pm – 8pm. During this hour, you can doing whatever you want as long as it’s related to books. You could read on your own, read with someone, hold a book group, or you could tweet your favourite library and tell them what book you’ve enjoyed recently.
Dedicating this hour to books and reading means you could finally pick up that book you’ve been meaning to read for years, pass on your love for a book to someone else or just enjoy discovering new characters in a new book. We can’t think of a better way to enjoy an hour on World Book Night.
