Starts Saturday 24 June
With the summer holidays arriving, it’s time for the Summer Reading Challenge.
The Summer Reading Challenge is a great opportunity to help support your children to continue to develop a love of reading throughout summer with the help of your local library.
Take Part at Your Local Library
To complete the challenge you need to read 6 books (or more if you like!) over the summer. Luckily there are loads of great books in your local library for you to read.
Register when you visit and once you have read your books you can bring your card to the library to receive your prizes. Each completed entry gets you a medal and certificate.
Don’t forget that you can use BorrowBox too to get some fantastic summer reads.

We recently released a podcast episode that explained everything you need to know about the Summer Reading Challenge and why it’s important to get your little ones reading throughout the summer holidays.
If you’ve not already listened to it, you can listen below. Listen to the end to also hear local school children talk about why they love reading.
