New Tricks

Join us at Airdrie Library for an exciting six-week programme of varied events for adults.

During the six weeks you will have a chance to experience a range of new activities with an author visit, games and crafts afternoons and more.

All the activities are £2 per ticket or £10 for all six events and come with light refreshments. Ticket prices cover the cost of the supplied light refreshments. Booking for each event is required and must be made in person at Airdrie Library.

An Afternoon with Gerard Grant
Wednesday 21 February, 2-4pm
£2 per ticket
Join local author, Gerard Grant as he talks about his book ‘Recalling the Past… While I Still Can’. and growing up in the Airdrie of yesteryear.

Gentle Movement
Wednesday 28 February, 2-4pm
£2 per ticket
Based on Chi Gung, an ancient Chinese practice aligning breathing, physical activity, mental and spiritual awareness. The class can be done seated or standing and in your normal clothes. Sign-up to enjoy this Macmillan-friendly event.

Games Afternoon
Wednesday 7 March, 2-4pm
£2 per ticket
Get competitive over a selection of classic board games.

The Clyde Puffers
Wednesday 14 March, 2-4pm
£2 per ticket
Relive the magic of the Clyde Puffer, with Para Handy and his crew.

Spring Crafternoon
Wednesday 21 March, 2-4pm
£2 per ticket
Get creative with our selection of fabulous spring crafts.

Movie Matinee: Sing-a-long ‘Easter Parade’
Wednesday 28 March, 2-4pm
£2 per ticket
Join us for a wonderful early Easter treat, as we enjoy a rousing sing-a-long to the classic ‘Easter Parade’ starring Fred Astaire and Judy Garland.
