Always question, always wonder, always read.
Our 2025 Reading Challenge for kids this summer hopes to spark the imagination with a Science Theme.
As part of the lead-up to the challenge, children aged 4–12 were invited to design a banner to represent this year’s theme. The winning design, is now featured in libraries across North Lanarkshire throughout the summer.
Look out for the banners, posters and information in the branches about the summer activities going on throughout the school holidays.
Our launch event star STEM with Mr N also has some great videos on YouTube of STEM book reviews to check out too. Visit the STEM with Mr N YouTube channel to watch them.
The Challenge
The challenge runs from Saturday 14 June to the new extended date of Saturday 13 September. During that time, you can register to join the challenge and take part for FREE. Don’t worry if you don’t already have a library card, you can sign up for one on the day.
As you complete the challenge, you will receive stickers and prizes along the way. Each sticker or prize will be awarded per library visit. Why not set your own target for reading this summer?
Everyone who completes the challenge will be entered into our special prize draw to win family cinema tickets!
For those of you who are looking for something extra there will also be a bonus bookmark available to complete. On completion of the bonus bookmark you will be entered into a separate prize draw to win goodie bags!
