Community languages collections

We hold a wide variety of books in many different languages

North Lanarkshire Libraries is for everyone, and we work hard to ensure all sections of our communities are able to access the huge amount of resources we have on offer.

We hold extensive permanent collections of both fiction and non-fiction material in community languages such as Gaelic, Urdu, Polish and Cantonese, and we offer a request service for members to access material in many other world languages too. What’s more, these services are free to all Library members, and requested books can be delivered to any Library in North Lanarkshire for borrowers to uplift.
