Greenhill primary is a non-denominational, co-educational primary school situated in Albert Street, Coatbridge. We are co located with Drumpark Primary and this provides a wealth of opportunities for the children to learn, play and grow together.

The school caters for primary one to primary seven pupils. The school offers many extra curricular activities, which change on a termly basis depending on availability of staff, coaches and preferences of children for particular activities. Some of the courses we offer are netball, streetdance, football ,arts and craft, cookery and drama.

Primary seven pupils also get the opportunity to have a week long residential outdoor education experience at Kilbowie Outdoor Centre near Oban.

Greenhill Primary make every effort to ensure that there are good home and school links. Letters and news sheets are sent out regularly informing parents of activities and events within school. Parents are invited to assemblies, services, shows and productions, parents’ workshops and presentations. A number of fundraising events are held. Parents are invited to sports days and other sporting events. Children from Greenhill Primary participate in local events and parents are invited. Parents of new intake Primary 1 are invited to “open events” and curricular workshops as their children start school. We work in partnership with Community Learning and Development to enrich experiences for families in our school community.Greenhill Primary Outside View

The school maintains strong links with the local community and an “after-school service ” run by North Lanarkshire Council operates every day at. Elim Church Building, King Street, Coatbridge. Children are collected at Greenhill Primary by the after-school club staff. We also take part in local cultural and sporting events, eg football and netball tournaments, inter-schools sports days, poetry competitions and community events.

We also offer a breakfast provision from 8.15am to 8.45am where children can purchase breakfast items.

Pupils normally transfer from primary to secondary between the ages of 11.5 and 12.5 years so that they have the opportunity to complete at least four years of secondary education. Pupils from Greenhill normally transfer to Coatbridge High.
