The Therapy Room returns after another incredible sell-out event in August.
The December line-up includes the following great comedians, Mick McNeil, John Gavin and John Ross. Not forgetting our host and compere for the evening – Airdrie’s own Patrick Rolink!
Mick McNeill’s rapid climb up the Scottish comedy ladder has seen him become a weekend favourite at every comedy club in the country. Hailed by the Daily Record as ‘a rising star of Scottish comedy’, Mick has headlined the famous Stand Comedy Club as well as supported various acclaimed acts on tour such as Garrett Millerick, Chris Kent, Carl Hutchinson, and Connor Burns.
John Gavin is one of Scotland’s most relatable and effortlessly funny stand-up comedians. Since bursting onto the scene John has charmed audiences with his warm, conversational style and hilarious tales of family life. Within his first month on stage, John reached the final of So You Think You’re Funny?, and just a year later, he was crowned Scottish Comedian of the Year — a testament to his quick rise and undeniable talent.
John Ross started playing Latino-style keyboard tunes, badly (is there any other way?) in a cheesy cabaret band. This came in handy when he made his Fringe debut in 2003. “Stand-up:The Musical” also starring Sandy Nelson and Allen Chalmers. The show went on to a successful run at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival of 2004. He has a laid back delivery and with a skewed world view that’s all his own, John’s act reduces audience after audience to a Laughter. He likes that.
As usual the event will be compered by Airdrie’s own Patrick Rolink. Patrick is a seasoned performer on the Comedy circuit and has performed at some of the best-known comedy venues around the world, including The Comedy Store in London, Jongleurs in Camden as well as various gigs in Canada and The Westgate Resort in Las Vegas.
