The Museum is open from 12 to 4pm Monday to Saturday

Visitors have FREE ENTRY to our exhibitions, tower and back garden play area.

Children should always be accompanied by an adult.

Glasgow Science Centre- Castle Rock Show

Shows at 1pm, 2pm & 3pm (sessions are approx. 30 mins)

Delve into the science and engineering that underpin our amazing castles. This fun, interactive science show will bring castles to life, from their construction to destruction and how we preserve the castles that remain.

Family Silent Disco

Friday 18th & Monday 28th July

Session Times: 1-2pm (age 3-6)  2.30-3.30pm (age 6+)

Come and enjoy an afternoon boogie for all the family. We have a choice of two playlists- one for the kids, and a 1990s one for the grown-ups. A glitter tattoo and glow stick are included in the price.   (Please book for your age category where possible.)

Meet the Romans

Friday 4th July & Monday 21st July

Time 1.00-2.15pm

What did the Romans ever do for us? Find out about some important Roman inventions; learn what it was like to be a Roman soldier in Scotland and try on some replica armour. Everyone will make a Roman pot to take home.

Find out what life was like in a medieval castle; who lived there and what jobs did they do. Try on some replica armour and make your own coat of arms to take home.
