North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre is a free family visitor attraction located within Motherwell. Ideally situated with excellent train and bus links and within close proximity to local shops and cafes, families with pre-school children can spend the morning (or afternoon) enjoying our outdoor play equipment, regular children’s activities and our fun climb thru time exhibit including our viewing tower.
Pre-school children can enjoy our Bookbug sessions on Mondays at 1.15pm & 2pm. Please call to check availability and book in advance on 01698 274590.
North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre also offers Saturday Crafts for all ages.

Archives and Local Studies are open Monday to Saturday, 12-4pm. You are welcome to drop in to use our reading room and open-access resources for self-led study.
You are welcome to speak with our staff beforehand and we recommend that you book a slot by completing our booking form, calling 01698 274590 or sending an email.

Accessibility – Lifts to all floors, accessible WC on the ground floor, assistance is given in the search room for visitors with a visual impairment, induction loop, and free car parking at the rear of the building with three spaces for blue badge holders.
