The Therapy Room

The Therapy Room returns to Airdrie Town Hall for the first time in 2026. The April line-up includes, Viv Gee, Kirsty lynch, Vladimir McTavish, Sean Harrington and our host Airdrie’s own Patrick Rolink
Viv Gee has performed stand-up from L.A to Bangkok and has numerous TV and radio credits including The Comedy Undergound, The Stand-Up Show and The Good, the Bad and the Unexpected. This year she was a nominee for the Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Awards and was also awarded the Lord Provost’s 850 award for her contribution to Glasgow’s comedy scene. In 2014 she was the recipient of the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Comedy at the inaugural Scottish Comedy Awards.
Vladimir McTavish – Winner of Lifetime Achievement Award 2019 Scottish Comedy Awards Best Fringe Show 2015 at Scottish Comedy Awards Nominated for Comedy Award at Fringe World, Perth, Australia 2015 Former BAFTA nominee “One of the finest acts on the Scottish comedy circuit” The Guardian “Inspired comedy brilliance” Australian Stage Cynical but clever reflections with a killer satirical finale that I’ll never forget” Clothesline, Adelaide Vladimir McTavish has over thirty year’s experience on the UK comedy circuit, during which time he has also performed all over the globe. This August, he performed his twentieth solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe with the critically acclaimed 2025 Last Chance Saloon. Four-star reviews for the show included: “This is a laugh out loud stand-up set. Vladimir McTavish is a comedian very much in his prime.” On The Mic **** There’s a literary, almost beat-poet rhythm to his rants. He’s still delightfully unfiltered, still gloriously “insane in the membrane”. One4Review ****
Kirsty Lynch burst onto the comedy scene at The Stand in October 2022. She has continued to push forward performing at the Barcelona Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe, Leicester Comedy Festival, Glasgow Comedy Festival and the Manchester women in comedy festival. She is a great relatable storyteller of being a woman, a mother and wife, and trying to keep it together whilst still making mistakes. Come and hear more of Kirsty’s embarrassing life stories that are sure to give you laugh.
Sean Harrington is quickly earning a reputation as one of the most exciting new performers on the rise. Blending sharp wit, relaxed charisma, and mind-bending sleight of hand, Sean delivers a style of magic that feels fresh and hilariously unpredictable.
Originally a kid who learned tricks to impress his friends; Sean soon discovered a talent for making people laugh just as much as he amazed them. He has taken his act from living rooms to legitimate stages, performing at clubs, private events, and festivals all over Scotland where audiences quickly fall in love with his offbeat humour and impossible surprises. With a growing fanbase and a style that sets him apart; Sean Harrington is a name you’ll want to remember
As usual the event will be compered by Airdrie’s own Patrick Rolink. Patrick is a seasoned performer on the Comedy circuit and has performed at some of the best-known comedy venues around the world, including The Comedy Store in London, Jongleurs in Camden as well as various gigs in Canada and The Westgate Resort in Las Vegas.
