NL Arts Notification

We have taken the decision to postpone the events surrounding A Fragile Correspondence at Ravenscraig which was due to take place, today – Thursday 27th March 2025.

With the prediction of very heavy rain for the duration of the event, we have made the decision to postpone and look at a date further into the year. We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause but health & safety is of utmost important to us.

This promises to be a wonderful evening of art, nature and community. Whether you’re an art lover, a nature enthusiast, or simply looking for something different to do, come along and experience Ravenscraig in a whole new way!

Artwalk with Tine Collective, 4.45pm-6.15pm

Join artists Frank McElhinney and Hamshya Rajkumar on a walk around Ravenscraig to creatively explore and engage with the site.

An interactive and sensory Artwalk through Ravenscraig, once Scotland’s largest steelworks, the landscape now represents a mix of post-industrial history and nature’s quiet resilience. This creative workshop encourages participants to observe and respond directly to the site, alongside the artists, in a truly immersive experience.

‘Boundary Layers’ a film by Amanda Thomson, 6.30-7.30pm  (including invited speakers)

As the evening sets in, viewers can feast their eyes on a special outdoor screening of Boundary Layers by writer and artist Amanda Thomson, which is a 16-minute film responding to Ravenscraig’s past and present.

Transport

We also have coach coach transport from Motherwell train Station to Ravenscraig Regional Sport Facility. The coach will leave at 6.15pm and return at 7.30pm.
