Salsburgh Community Centre plays host to many events in Salsburgh and the surrounding area. Used as a central point for the community, the centre is used for Doctors’ surgeries, Child Clinics, Advice Clinics, Community Council meetings, MSP and Councillor surgeries, as well as craft classes.
Well-organised social functions including weddings, parties, dances and discos would be welcomed to Salsburgh Community Centre.
Facilities
Salsburgh Community Centre has several facilities, which are available to let to the general public. There are two large halls and two committee rooms.
The main hall can cater for up to 120 persons for a dinner dance and 150 persons for a disco. This hall is set with a large stage at the rear of the hall and offers a well-lit, spacious area for social functions.
The lesser hall has a large capacity space and can cater for up to 80 persons for a disco. Unfortunately this hall is not suitable for the purpose of dinner dances.
There are kitchen facilities to complement hall requirements. It is recommended that these facilities be used only for the purpose of catering for hot buffets or heating ready prepared food as opposed to full catering for events. There is a fridge available if required.
Transport
Salsburgh Community Centre is situated centrally in Salsburgh and is accessible by both bus and car. For patrons who are travelling to the centre by car there are approximately 50 parking spaces outside the centre.
Disabled Access
This facility is well suited to persons requiring wheel chair access. There are disabled access points to the building, and all facilities are on ground level. There are also disabled toilets available.
