Focus on Families Day

Join us in our libraries for a day of family fun.

Our Focus on Families Day is a chance to enjoy the library with the whole family. With each library have a unique set of events lined-up to enjoy, everyone can have a little fun on us.

Saturday 6 October is Focus on Families Day for our town centre libraries while our local branch libraries get in on the act on Thursday 11 October as part of our Libraries Week celebrations.

Saturday 6 October

Join us at our town centre libraries for a day packed of great activities including some of Scotland’s top storytellers and entertainers. Did you manage to complete the Summer Reading Challenge? Focus on Families Day also gives you the chance to receive your medal and certificate at our Medal Ceremonies.

Airdrie Library

Join us at Airdrie Library when there will be a visit from storytelling duo Macastory, a fantastic print and mark-making workshop from our CultureNL Arts team using foliage and other natural materials. The Observatory will be open to have a visit and of course the annual Summer Reading Challenge Medal Ceremony.
