Artforms

Visual Art with artist/illustrator Jasmine Holt

Hello there! Following the theme of ‘connections’, we will provide regular inspiration and tools for you to take part in a series of creative activities including drawing, painting, looking, gathering and scribbling.

We would like you to send us what you have made in order for us to begin a visual conversation as a community inspired by this theme.

We are completely open to any artistic responses to our activities and ask only that you look at them as prompts to inspire you to start making.

Tell us your story through the camera lens. Your past, present or how you see your future.

Take part in your own time and at your own pace. The photography sessions are tailored for both individuals and groups. Receive regular information/post cards through the door with imaginative ideas and challenges, for example using a selection of sweets, arrange these in order of favourites. Who would you share them with? Who would you hide them from?

Get involved in our “Zoom In, Zoom Out” photography project. You will have the opportunity to learn a new skill, discuss and share your ideas with the artists and engage with those in your community or learn from home if that’s what suits you best.

Everyone is welcome, no previous experience necessary and materials will be provided free of charge.

A room with a view. We’ve all had one over the past 18 months, haven’t we? However, what’s your view of the future?

My name is Andrew and I’m an artist based in Wishaw.  Through the Postal Art Project, I’d like you to try something new, something you perhaps haven’t considered before.

When most of us found ourselves at home for what seemed like an eternity, we started to find ourselves with some new routines and I bet you had a view that helped fill those long days. I know I had, and it’s those different views I’d like us to explore.

All you have to do is get in touch with your details and we’ll send you a materials pack and instructions. All you need is a bit of time and imagination, the rest will follow. We’d love to see the results.
